Physiotherapy promotes movement, helps ease pain and restores physical functions. Physiotherapists specialize in assessing a client’s condition and creating a specific treatment plan focused on each individual’s goals.

Kinesiologists work with the individual to prevent and manage injuries, ranging from major chronic pains to minor injuries. Our Kinesiologist’s treatment plans follow the guidance of the Physiotherapist’s assessment to ensure treatment protocols focus on the client’s goals.

Acupuncture is an ancient treatment technique that uses very thin needles inserted into specific areas of the body to alleviate pain and/or release soft tissue restrictions. It can be used to treat pain conditions, headaches, joint restrictions as well as promote relaxation.

Neuro-Muscular Therapy – NMT

NMT is a soft tissue technique. This technique treats underlying problems associated with chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous system. It aims to improve muscular imbalances, nerve entrapment, and muscular trigger points.

Neuro-Developmental Therapy – NDT

NDT is a hands-on treatment protocol focused on improving movement patterns for people who have difficulties as a result of neurological impairments. Patients who benefit from NDT include stroke survivors, Alzheimer’s patients, acquired brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and more.

Myofascial Release Techniques – MFR

MFR treats the connective tissue. This treatment is excellent for those suffering from pain caused by muscle imbalances and soft tissue restrictions. MFR is a hands-on treatment technique.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic Floor Therapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy. It treats all the structures within the pelvic system. Pelvic Floor Therapy can treat incontinence, difficulty with urination or bowel movement, chronic pelvic pain, and pain during intercourse.

Problem-Specific Exercise Prescription

Although an injury has one name, it will present differently in each individual. As a result of this difference, a Physiotherapist will develop a problem specific exercise program that will suit that particular patient’s profile.

Hydro-Therapy (Pool)

Hydro-Therapy is the use of water to improve health. Hydro-therapy occurs in a pool, either at a local community centre or your own personal pool. Hydro-therapy may involve the development of an exercise program in the pool or the modification of your swimming patterns to suit your injury.
